African Festival Yokohama basically is a festival organize to bridge the cultural difference between Africa and Janpan, it is more or less Africa's motivated trade, investiment and cultural expo in Yokohama. Business mem/women, students and the general public at large must make it a point to visit, learn and explore the numerous trade and investment opportunities as many African Embassies and exhibitors will exhibit products from their various countries.

Other attractions include Traditional Cultural Drumming and Dancing, African Photo Exhibition, Lecture, African Games Corner, African Fashion Show, Dance & Traditional Musical Instrument Workshop, African Quiz, Comcert and mamy more not to be missed by anyone.

日本とアフリカとの文化の架け橋を基本理念に企画された「アフリカンフェスティバルよこはま」もこのたび第3回を迎え、来場者数も年々増加し、人々のアフリカへの関心の高さがうかがえます。また、2008年5月には横浜で第4回アフリカ開発会議（TICADⅣ)が開催され、横浜とアフリカとの交流がますます盛んになっています。今回も子供から大人まで楽しめる内容が充実しています。アフリカ各国の情報満載の大使館コーナー、アフリカ写真展、テレビでおなじみのアフリカ人によるトークショー、アフリカの音楽や踊りのステージ、アフリカンファッションショー、そして、アフリカ民族楽器・ダンスのわー子ショップ、アフリカンゲーム体験、クイズへの参加や、アフリカの手工芸品や衣料品・食品などを販売するアフリカンマーケット、アフリカの料理屋飲み物を販売するフードコートなど、アフリカを満喫し、アフリカの人々の交流も楽しめ、まるでアフリカを訪れたような体験のできる催しです。
